Upcoming Business On Board Workshop:
Business On Board recruits and trains the region’s business leaders to become effective board members and places them with nonprofit arts and cultural organizations. This unique service of board training and placement is available to all nonprofit arts and cultural organizations in the Greater Philadelphia Region. Since 1996, we have placed over 700 Business On Board graduates on the boards and board committees of more than 150 institutions. Last year’s graduates represented our 20th anniversary cohort, and in just a few months, have already made significant contributions to the nonprofit sector. We are confident that this year’s cohort will make similarly significant advances for communities throughout the region.
Session 2 Description:
Getting Down to Business: This session delves deeply into what board members need to know about nonprofit finance and their roles in fundraising and stewardship, bringing together accounting, development and philanthropic professionals for interactive lecture, panel and break-out group discussions.
Session 1: Friday, January 27, 9:00am – 4:00pm
Session 2: Friday, March 3, 9:00am – 4:00pm
Session 3: Friday, April 7, 9:00am – 4:00pm
Session 4: Friday, May 5, 9:00am – 4:00pm
Fees: Fees include $1,500 for nonprofit organizations or $3,000 for business leaders, which includes 25 hours of classroom time, materials, breakfast and lunch on the classroom dates, ongoing coaching and board placement, and networking opportunities with other business professionals.
