Business On Board—January 26, March 2, April 13, and May 4

Governance and Leadership Development for Current Board Members

  • Continued support from CHG Charitable Trust, the Connelly Foundation and PNC Arts Alive provides 15 full scholarships (each valued at $1,500) to current board members of arts and culture organizations in the Greater Philadelphia region. Ideal candidates are board members already serving as officers or those being groomed for board leadership positions; or board members eager to learn about good governance practices and share what they learn with board peers. This program is aimed at business/legal professionals. Scholarship recipients must commit to attending all four sessions. To apply: Send a letter of nomination for your board member from the board chair or the senior staff leader to [email protected]. Include a current resume/bio for the nominee, explain why your organization would benefit from a scholarship and confirm that your nominee is available for all of the classroom sessions. Nominees do not need to complete the program application at this stage. Applicants will be interviewed by phone and scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis.
  • To nominate a board member for this opportunity, please send an email message to Tommy Butler ([email protected]) by January 1 explaining why your organization would benefit from a scholarship and confirming that your nominee is available for all of the relevant classroom sessions. Your nominees do not need to complete the program applications at this stage—we will ask them to do so as we confirm the scholarships.
