For more than a decade, the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia has operated Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (PVLA) as one of the programs in its Arts + Business Council. During the course of this partnership, the Arts + Business Council has engaged Chamber members to provide volunteers and funding for PVLA, and recognized many exceptional PVLA volunteers at its annual awards program.

PVLA is an important resource for the arts community, and the Chamber is pleased that a new group of leaders have emerged with an interest in enhancing and augmenting PVLA’s support of Philadelphia’s thriving arts and culture community. As a result, PVLA has returned to operating as an independent nonprofit under the supervision of a new board effective October 1, 2019.  The Chamber will continue to provide operational support to PVLA to facilitate this transition.
