It’s planning season here at ABC, which means we are taking stock of what happened in the past year, and thinking of what to retain and add in the next year. Here are a couple of sneak previews of what’s to come.
Have you ever been to one of our events and enjoyed the opening act, whether it was a jazz performance, a design thinking exercise, or a short film? We’ve often heard how these short windows into the cultural community have an outsized impact on our audience. We also love how these performances can introduce business professionals to artists and vice versa. Now we’re creating a directory that provides the Greater Philadelphia creative community with the opportunity to market their work to area businesses for team meetings, corporate events, or any gathering that could be enhanced through arts experience and display. Sound like something that would interest you? Look out for my next monthly update to learn more about this new intersection of art and business.
We’re also going to double down on our Business on Board program. We’ve run the program for 25 years and developed an alumni group of more than 900 people. We are hoping to develop a next-level program specifically geared toward board and nonprofit staff leadership. But we want to know what you think. Can you share your feedback on this potential program and other ABC programs? Take our community survey. Your feedback is really important to us and will influence our work going forward.
There’s much more upcoming programming to announce, but in the meantime, it is time to celebrate this past year. On May 19, we will be acknowledging and appreciating so many of our local leaders like Allan Edmunds, Ruth Naomi Floyd, and Aviva Kapust. Register now for our 36th Annual Awards program where you’ll get a deep dive into the region’s cultural richness and have the opportunity to congratulate winners and connect online with a broader creative network.
Best,
