Happy holidays! At the Arts + Business Council, we are prepping and recruiting for our 27th season of Business on Board.
Business on Board is our signature program that exemplifies our work to foster collaboration and exchange between the creative and business communities. We train business professionals to serve on a nonprofit arts board and then match them with local arts nonprofits where they can become valuable new board members. We have nearly 1,000 alumni from the program — and love growing that network each year.
Here’s what’s different this year:
- Virtual bi-weekly sessions, one that is fully interactive and one webinar, allowing more flexibility for participants’ schedules.
- Participants will now complete the entire curriculum first, allowing them to begin their organization observerships fully prepared.
- New topics this year: the board-executive staff relationship and evaluation (programs, board members, and the executive director)
