For volunteer consulting work with Rock to the Future

Christine assisted Rock to the Future (RTTF) from January to September 2016, helping to transition the organization’s financial systems from an outdated desktop product to a cloud-based nonprofit accounting system. When Christine found inconsistencies within RTTF’s financial practices, she helped to correct past errors in order to have clean information in the new system and to encourage best financial practices going forward. She also identified a more robust, longer-term solution to strengthen overall financial management; RTTF will seek to raise funds to invest in this system as the organization continues to grow. Christine consistently thought of ways to broaden RTTF’s capacity and visibility in ways not directly related to the BVA project, including making introductions to other community leaders. Even though Christine changed jobs during the course of this project, she still managed to go above and beyond the initial scope of work to ensure RTTF had the benefit of her expert financial guidance.
