This week is Arts + Culture Recovery Week, a new initiative set into motion by Councilmember Isaiah Thomas. We are excited to contribute a new effort to the recovery of the arts + culture community with our new artist directory.

The Arts + Business Council’s artist directory provides the Greater Philadelphia creative community with the opportunity to market their work to area businesses for team meetings, corporate events, or any gathering that could be enhanced through an arts experience, display, or entertainment. It includes local artists, musicians, actors, dancers, cultural organizations, and other professionals in the arts industry. We hope this artist directory will grow more robust over time and become a well-known and reliable source of great artistic talent in Philadelphia. Want to do something for the arts and culture community’s recovery this week? Contact an artist, group, or organization offering their talent and engage them in your upcoming program or event.

Last year, ABC helped arts organizations pivot in these difficult times through our Digital Drawingboard program; we’re excited to announce that we will run this program again this September.

And we will soon be announcing our new Business on Board Intensive program, which builds upon our renowned Business on Board program. How did we know that Business on Board alumni wanted a “next level” program to enhance their board leadership experience? We listened through our community survey (it’s not too late to take it) and through alumni engagement. We have created LinkedIn groups to keep our Business on Board and Designing Leadership alumni connected — if you participated in these programs, please keep an eye out for an invitation from our Programs Manager, Liz Thompson.

Stay tuned for more information on all these offerings and stay in touch.

Best,
